siblings
wow, this is a week late, but i just found out yesterday when i was cleaning out the ‘ol RSS feeds; JPG included one of my images on their blog.
this image has always been a favorite of mine. i submitted it to JPG about a year ago for their family theme; it wasn’t published but was included in the outtakes. as a child of divorce, this was an entry that was close to my heart – both the image & what the image means to me. this is what i wrote with the original submission:
i think it’s hard to define family. on a whole, we’re moving farther and father from the idea, we’re breaking it apart and taping it back together.
family has lost it’s permanence.
this image of my kids cuts to the core of what i wish family was like for me when i was growing up and what i hope it will continue to be for them.

OUCH!!!
ha!
nothing you didn’t know.
True, but alwayas an “OUCH” when you see it in writing! You always expresss things in a way that touches my heart … even if it is hard to hear. Your children are far luckier than you were becuase you have taken your parents mistakes (as I took mine) and learned from them! Keep learning and keep sharing.
